It really depends on what your contract says, but to be honest they have probably got it covered

Of course you have rights but a firm must trade and make a profit so an employer can alter your hours if it is in the company's commercial interests and it is reasonable. If you are a union you can discuss it with them or if not get some advice from ACAS. Without more details it is difficult to advise you further
Actually the point about the contract is not very relevant after 7 years the contract has been effectively amended by the joint agreement between you and the company

Yes you do they cannot change your working conditions at all unless they have offered you a cash payment etc for you to agree new hours.
If you have a contract of employment your hours (Flexi) will be stipulated in this.
If you dont have a contract of employment then your employer has broken contract employment laws. Basically then they do not have a leg to stand on.

Suggest you contact your Citizens Advice people.

All the above is true.. Hope this helps you Ciao

Read your contract, I work for a large company that has just done the same to a lot of its employers, they didnt have a leg to stand on as their contract stated hours worked would be between 8am and 8pm.

who is this company that wants to go back in time. your employer has to consult you over the change to your contract and you have to agree otherwise this could be an unfair or constructive dismissal. is there a valid business reason for the change to the contract and can you reasonably fit it into your life. if there is and the company can justify this then they could give you notice and this can be defended on the basis of ' any other substantial reason'. see the website sited go to your rights.pay and contracts of employment.changes to contracts of employment

Nope! People with kids shouldn't be given exceptions just because they have kids! If it's in your contract that you're guaranteed flex hours (which I highly doubt), then maybe, but those are usually subject to change.

Probably not...
Do you have an employment contract that specifically guarantees you these hours ?
Does it guarantee that he cannot fire you and replace you with someone who will work normal hours ?
