This recording certainly sounds like him. The guitar doesn't sound like a familiar Angus Young riff though...

Any info on this track (ive got the mp3) would be appreciated.

Back in Black was a tribute album TO Bon Scott. The version you have here is actually a cover done by the band Living Colour on their Collideoscope album. Someone lied to you about this track. Sorry.
You know, I could be wrong about this. The more I compare the two songs, the more I hear the differences. It's obviously a cover song, though.

Though the Young brothers had begun work on their next studio album prior to Bon's death, and Bon Scott had written lyrics for potential new songs, the decision was made to redo the album from scratch upon hiring Johnson.

It's Brian Johnson singing on the actual album.

Back in Black was the first AC/DC album recorded without former lead singer Bon Scott, who died unexpectedly in February 1980.

Are you as pissed off as I am that the song is in a ******* GAP commercial?

Any AC/DC fan knows that Back in Black was dedicated by the band to the late and great Bon Scott. It was the first album they recorded with their new singer Brian Johnson. It was called Back in Black because it was a come "back" album and when you go to a funeral you wear "black" for respect.

The cause of death listed on his death certificate was "Acute alcoholic poisoning" and "Death by Misadventure".

Shortly after his death, British singer Brian Johnson replaced him, and AC/DC recorded Back in Black, which is to this day the second best-selling album of all time. The album cover was all black as a tribute to Bon Scott.

that a very good question Brian Johnson said the cd back in black was a tribute to bon Scott but didn't say the song specifically was his?

bon scott was dead before back in black was released (1980 I think), or even recorded for that matter. the singer is david johnson and it is their first album after bon died(1978 or 79)

added. sorry, having heard the track, it sounds like another band covering it, but i'm not sure who. oops...my bad! brian is correct.
it sounds like it could be the band Krokus.
