I don't know where some ladies here are getting their info but whatever you do stay AWAY from baby oil, vasaline and similar oil based removers! Especially if you plan to wear mascara daily. If you use those products the residue stays on for days no matter how much you wash your lashes in water. Why do you care about oily residue on your lashes? When you go to apply the mascara the next day it will NOT adhere to your lashes and will look like like you have on no mascara at all. If you only wear mascara occasionally oily based remover is fine. I use water-based eye makeup removers. They are in the drugstores and the malls. Loreal makes a great one ...it's blue in color and only costs around $8 dollars. It gets off the hardest mascaras and is leaves no residue. Also if you want more ease in mascara removal avoid waterproof brands. They are made to adhere stubbornly and ignore liquids. If you do use waterproof just know you will work a few extra minutes to get your mascara off. Happy removing.

Try using a washable waterproof mascara. I've tried the one from Maybelline & it stinks. It never seems to dry & leaves your lashes sticky. Avon has a washable waterproof that I've used for years & it really washes off with soap & water. You can even get it on sale sometimes for $1.99 each.

Buy eye make-up remover but the most economical thing is to use something oil based like lotion. You can use baby oil too, whatever you like. When you wash your face with water, it doesn't work because oil repells water and mascara is oil based.

Well if it's waterproof you may need to use an eye make-up remover. I use soap in the shower, then when I'm out I use a "Cotton tip" with some Sorbolene Cream. GOOD LUCK!

if you don't have eye make-up remover, rub a little amount of baby shampoo (tear fee) on ur eyes, rinse with water. this works also with waterproof mascara. if you're not allergic with petroleum jelly, it can remove mascara too.
when using make-up remover, slowly run the cotton balls across your closed eyes, sideways. it won't be difficult to remove the mascara when washing your face once you've done these.

Eye makeup remover from Sephora is pretty good. If you wear contact lenses, oil based removers can cause an infection if the oil is not completely removed.

oil free make-up remover by neutrogena. shake up the bottle and pour some on a cotton ball. shut your eye and wipe over the eye hard. when you have all the mascara off, rinse your eye with warm water.

Try a water based eye makeup remover such as MAC pro eye makeup remover. Also try using a lash primer under your mascara. This will help strengthen and protect your lashes as well as make it easier to remove your mascara. MAC makes a great lash primer as well.
