The whole "zero point energy" thing is either a scam (when used by people to exploit ignorance of quantum mechanics) or ignorance (when quoted by people who don't know anything about quantum mechanics). Zero-point energy does exist. But it can't be used to do work. Elementary high school physics explains the difference between "energy", "work", and "power".
