im only in the ninth grade i read this book and thought it was great mwa ha ha ha

Great! I loved it too - and yay for you reading it this young - some people don't get to it until they are much older!

ALthough the book is great, it isnt fun at all. The note of existentialism echoing in all the book makes it somewhat sad. I think that young people, including the ones in 18, cannot understand the book properly, thats what i understood when analyzing it in school.

I read it as a sophomore, but it was a bit beyond me. Some of those books, when read now, make a lot more sense (like Brave New World.)

I read it for my M.A. It was just great and clarified a great many things about ways of thinking. I think it is a must read for spaced out people. All that alienation theme and stuff.
