it. It is painful to touch and sends sharp pains up my leg.Its been the same for 2 days. The night before I noticed it I felt a stinging in my foot but I didnt pay very much attention to it and then noticed the place the next morning. Can anybody tell me what it could be I went to a doc but they really didnt know what it could have been just to put ice on it. Any help?

I would get a second opinion, it doesn't sound too good.

Podiatrics is the name of that science in medicine so seek those poeple and then follow a treatment given. look at the site foot.com and you will find who is nearer to you and what is covering these illnesses by insurance. Foot injuries are serious specially to those with diabetes.
