Film makers have freedom of speech.

If you don't allow a film maker freedom of speech we may lose it. It would not be the first time when censorship prevented ideas from being let out.

The film makers are trying to get the audience to think, to question what the government tells us.

While I don't advocate the ultimate demise of America - it has come pretty close in the past. Read a website about McCarthyism before you decide we should censor the film industry. Read about all the damage it did. Not everyone who was called were a threat. Yet they destroyed careers and lives.

We need to have some disclaimer about the films and clearly state their bias. Not everyone who sees these films is intelligent enough to question what they see.

Also, the people who want to censor films have a political agenda also.

See the film "Hollywoodland" and see if you think somebody was not trying to cover up the truth about what happened. It did not only happen in the movies.

Or rent the film "Guilt by Suspicion" or the "Woody Allen film "The Front".

I would rather have the right not to see films by Michael Moore than to not have him have the right to show them.

(Yes, I do live in NY, and I remember 911 very thoroughly. I know we were attacked - so we are at War.) I also know my great Uncle was a film maker.

Like any successful nation, we have made both friends and enemies. Unfortunately, freedom for Americans includes freedom for Michael Moore and his ilk. They are actually showing America's greatness by speaking out against the U.S. without fear of reprisal.

I don't know of any American who wishes for the split and ultimate demise of the U.S. But many are aware things are going badly.

i like michael moore and he makes many valid points even though i dont agree with all his postulations....and the demise is going to be if people like you censor those you dont agree with...america is great because freedom of speech prevails and one can be sued if that previlege is abused

we should bring back the secret police so that scum like him can be silenced, that would be much better
also, we should wire everyhouse to listen in on the conversations people have, (inan alarm system would be good)
then after screening all the faux pas words we could systematically wipe out all uglies in the country followed by the people in the rest of the country.

i wonder who america will exploit when theyve killed everyone who doesnt agree with them

There might be something to debate if your premise weren't so lacking in the way of meaningful evidence to support it.

There's a little thing called "freedom of speech" - which, despite what fascists like you would want, enables people to express whatever opinions they like. Without it you'd still be put to death for saying "God doesn't exist".
