Yes! It appears exceptionally bright tonight! Very beautiful!!
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou seemest most charming to my sight;
As I gaze upon thee in the sky so high,
A tear of joy does moisten mine eye.
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou cheerest the weary traveller in the night;
For thou lightest up the wayside around
To him when he is homeward bound.

You know when I walk the dog late at night, the walk is always best by moonlight, even haunting a bit. That moon has seen me through childhood, getting married, having kids and now being a grandfather ....... it never changes in its full state ... a beautiful glowing orb to light my way and wonder upon. There is simply nothing else that just by reflecting sunlight, can cause us to marvel at, is there? And hey, do we still see that 'man in the moon' that we did as kids? You bet we do!!

It's not dark yet, but last night and the night before, the moon was exceptionally bright, flooding the landscape with its light. The features of the moon were unusually clear. I could have read a book by that silvery glow.

I was in Suffolk two days ago. The people there tell me that the moon is aligned in such a way tonight that they will be having the highest tides on the Suffolk coast since 1952.

I sw it earlier this evening it was like a red glow in the sky here in Abderdeenshire. It is what is called an a Harvest moon.
'Shine on shine on harvest moon
for me and my girl,
There ain't been no loving since
January, Feburary, June or July,
so shine on shine on harvest moon.'
The best place on earth to see the moon in all it's splendour
is the Shetlands Isles. Always gives me goose pimples when
I see a Shetland moon especially on a bright clear frosty night.
Sheer Magic!

When I left the house for work this morning (at 5:30AM) the moon was glowing brightly down on me.
It truly is beautiful, I can't wait to go out tonight and see it again.

Yeah, it is.
I drove from Lowestoft to Nottingham the night before last, and Thetford to Notts last night.
Even then it was as if dawn was approaching at 3am.
Outstanding.
