Supposedly Hezbollah captured two Israeli soldiers. For that the Israelis conducted a 34 day war of destruction, killing a thousand innocent children, women and old men. They blew up bridges and destroyed infrastructure.
Should Israel pay for it now?

The US should take some of the 4 billion dollars it is sending to Israel this year and send it to Lebanon instead, to pay for reconstruction.
Addendum: You people don't get it, do you? The reason the US is friends with Japan and Germany today is because we paid for reconstruction. The reason Nazi Germany arose in the 30's is because the world made them pay for WWI. If we make lebanon pay for a war that it didn't start (Israel couldn't disarm hezbollah in 18 years of occupation, how is lebanon supposed to disarm them?), we're just going to end up with another war, a bigger one. Does anyone here really think there won't be another war between Israel and Hezbollah, with the citizens of Lebanon and Israel caught in the middle (again)?
Hezbollah remains popular, why? They fought foreign troops on their home soil (doesn' t matter who started it when there's an invasion) and they're helping to rebuild.
Hezbollah wants to end the jewish state, everyone says that's bad, but is it? Why should there be a country dedicated to a race of people? Should there be a state to advance aryan interests too? What's wrong with an Israel that has equal rights for all humans, and a Constitution that forbids government favoring of one religion over others? Israel currently has no laws protecting these things, and they take full advantage of it with different laws for jews and non-jews.. (jews have advantages in Israel that non-jews don't), why?

When will Hezbollah pay for the missiles they sent into Israel? How about all of the suicide bombers that have killed Israeli civilians? Are you aware that Lebanon supported Hezbollah, the same terror organization that attacked the US on 9-11? Why would you support a terrorist organization instead of a democracy, the only ally the US has in the Middle East?

Israeli is the land given to the Jewish people after the second world war, The victimized people have now become the victimisers. something should be done to prevent them for the way in which they attacked the innocent people of Lebanon, fair enough Hezbollah may have done the first wrong in this time but, the eye for an eye would have be a better yard stick for Israeli to measure its res-ponce with, trying to swat a fly with a nuclear bomb!!!

No, but Lebanon and Hezbollah should be forced to pay Israel back. Hezbollah hides behind the skirts of their women. Any Arab civilian deaths are 100% the fault of Hezbollah. Israel fought them with one hand tied behind their backs, that meaning tiptoing around protecting Arab lives while Hezbollah launched missiles trying to kill Israeli citizens.
If the Arabs put down their weapons, Israel would have a party. If Israel put down their weapons, Hezbollah and the other Arabs would kill every Jew in Israel. Tell that to your communist college professor!

Sure they should. Israel apparently thinks it can do anything it wants, destroy Iraqi nuclear plants, all the while they have nuclear weapons and intend to use them. They should pay!
I hardly think the lives of two soldiers was worth the lives of 147 Israeli soldiers and 1000 Lebanese.
Why should Hezballah pay for the destruction? Israel caused it using US weapons, bombs, planes and missiles. And US dollars

I think they should be made to pay or better yet, go to Lebanon and rebuild the bridges and roads and take care of the families they have killed. Rebuild their houses, their shops and pay them money for the destruction

Absolutely. I see no reason why Israel should get a free pass. They destroyed and killed. They should pay. Of course the US taxpayer will get stuck with the bill.
Israel is sort of like a welfare case of the US.
