Instead of trying to find something unique... why don't you pick out the first name and your boyfriend pick out the baby's middle name.. or visa versa?

had the same problem, then in the 6th month we finally decides on Micah, then at 81/2 month he said, no I dont think I like that anymore...We were about a week away and decided on Aiden
I went through the same problem, it will work out eventually you will have to settle! and maybe you will be the one who wins...
PS heres what helped me, I gave my son the dads middle name, he was automatially happy...
Then you can get what you want!

compromise. include both of the names you two like in their name. one of you can give your baby his/her's first name and the other can come up with the middle name.
the unique names i like are for a girl, ivory isabelle and valorie hazel. for a boy nathan, ethan and landon. lol i like the in's sound.

if you are pregnant than i would just make sure you have patience and make sure you listen to his ideas too...but if you aren't prego than dont' worry about it!...My hubby and i are going to name our son i am pregnant with a name from a comic book (we have a few we are deciding on) but my hubby is a huge comic book geek so this fits for us!! Just find something that fits for you guys!!
