I believe it can happen but there has to be a deep connection after the first sight of the person, otherwise its lust or a crush.
My mom and dad saw each other in a crowded room (its true) and started to talk. Then two months later they got married. Thirty years and five kids later they are still very happy and in love. They weren't necessarily in love at first sight, but they connected at first glance and I am happy they did.
For me, I have never experienced it. But believe that sometimes people can connect with a simple glance and that can be or turn into a deep love of a person.

I do. Sometimes you just know. There is physical attraction and chemistry with that first glance which could be called infatuation. Sometimes it goes away and nothing much is left. Sometimes it is the beginning of something wonderful that grows into the deeper love of commitment. I have a friend who fell in love with his wife the first moment he saw her and they have been married 48 years. He adores her still after all these years. I think that's pretty cool.

definately. In my context it's slightly different. I had known this girl for 3 years. And not once in all that time did I ever fancy her or think of her as anything but a friend.
Then one day, in music class I looked around and it was so sudden, right there and then I fell in love with her. She didn't do anything, she didn't say anything, she was sitting there listening to the teacher and I had fallen in love with her for no reason. Aparantly I was staring at her for a while! And for 5 years I loved this girl. Only got over after we left school. Crazy huh!

Not love, just lust. I think there's a possibility that when you first meet the person there's sort of a click in your mind for some people. Then you might look back on when you first met this person once you know you love them, that you could say, "you know what, I think I knew back then." But it's possible that there's nothing there.

I do think that there is love at first sight , because you could see someone and love them or it could be looks, it all depends.

i believe there is love at first sight.... and of course there are instances where you look at someone and fall in lust... but i think most times love at first sight is on both sides and a feeling that is undescribable by both parties.. they just know

yes I beleive that there is love at first site, and if you don't act on it you may never see the person again. And if you let him/her go without getting to know them then you will never know if it would have been the ONE. but...you have to be prepared for the odds that it won';t work out...but it is worth the disappointment to find out.

I think that it is more like chemistry when you see someone and your attracted too. But I don't think you can really love someone until you know them.
