Hello again, I was stationed in Norfolk, Little Creek, Fort Story, Chicago, San Diego, Seattle, Yokuska, Hawaii, Pensacola, Panama City, Charleston, Mayport, Guantanamo Bay, and several tours overseas. I enjoyed Panama City the most. EMCM(SW)

Hi, I just answered your Navy pinning question too. My son and his wife were stationed in Norfolk, Virginia and resided in Navy apartments that were almost new in Newport News, Virginia. It really is a very nice city. They have also been stationed at Pensacola, Florida where he was an instructor. He is now stationed at Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida where he will be pinned Navy Chief this coming Friday. Out of all, they enjoyed Norfolk and living in Newport News, VA the best.
If you get stationed or are stationed at Norfolk, drive over to Newport News and especially Williamsburg, VA. There is a lot of history in Williamsburg and lots of quaint shops. My daughter-in-law could really give you the scoop of what they did for enjoyment when they lived there.

Depends on what you're lookin for. My hubby loved Lemore because of the small town and some resemblence of seasons feel but I love San Diego big city and sun sun sun.
It's really up to what you like.

Mayport,Fla.,kinda liked Norfolk before they tore down the "Strip".
