Medicine and vanity have nothing whatsoever to do with each other.
It should not pay for viagra either BUT it should pay for birth control.
Medicine and vanity, remember?

It should only pay for a breast impant if a woman has lost her breast to cancer.
Chiropractors and accupuncture, I believe they should pay because they are preventative medicine and they cut costs in the long run.
Vasectomy, yes. It's cheaper than covering a birth!
Penile enlargement...no....that's not a health concern.
Orthopedic shoes...yes if the person can't lead a normal, healthy life without them.
My insurance covers chiropractic and I use it often.

I think that in certain cases, some things SHOULD be covered. For instance, in the case of a survivor of breast cancer who has had to have a complete masectomy, I think that breast implants should be covered. Think about it - the woman has been through a lot with having cancer to begin with, now she has a stigma associated with her, maybe not by others, but by herself because she has lost her fiminitiy, her breasts. The insurance companies would be better off paying for implants, as they'll end up paying out the butt for counseling due to emotional issues if not. And counseling may still be required. As far as other things, I think if they are necessary or have severe emotional effects, that they should be covered. Just my opinion though and we all know how opinions are, we all have em....

i think of med coverage purely covers stuff that folk actually want, i'm particular they are in a position to stay w/o a vasectomy, penile growth, and breast implants. yet i do think of chiropractors, accupuncture could be blanketed. it might help a great style of folk who've aches and pains that isn't go away and end them from be able to do something.

Medical insurance should not be used to pay for any cosmetic treatments. I firmly stand behind this for many reasons...all of which I don't feel like listing here.

If your insurance is an MSA(medical savings account), you can use it for just about anything that pertains to medical care and in most cases, you are the judge. But, no, traditional insurance should not have to cover optional care.

yes, but only for a woman who has poor self-esteem due to the embarrassingly small size of her breasts.
