I am not sure if everything has a hidden meaning, but its possible. And, yes I sometimes do.

What is considered ordinary is merely the usual social construction of a meaning or event which is mostly acceptable at the time eg showing ones ankles is ordinary but it certainly wasn't in Victorian times. Likewise across religious beliefs what is considered ordinary behaviour by some may be extraordinary by others.
To search for meaning is therefore to understand behaviour and opposite behaviour in terms of what is socially constructed as ordinary or different within the framework of time, place and society.

No, I don't ordinarily do. However, I have been amazed and enlightened how some things have happened in my life. In reflecting back upon some occasions, later I realized the meaning of the people who came into my life and how things worked out. Mostly I just live but your question reminds me to ponder sometimes what the events I'm currently engaged in may be leading to. Mostly though I find it too hard to think about that because I just cannot figure it out.

There is meaning in everything. Ordinary events the same as extraordinary events. It is our interpretation of an event which deems it ordinary or extraordinary. It depends on what we are used to. One man's ordinary event would be another man's extraordinary event! There are signs and symbols everywhere we look and we don't have to look hard! They bombard us. You just have to know to look and once you start looking you will see!
Synchronicity. Start seeing all the connections in life, it gets very interesting.

If a person spends all of their time searching for a meaning of ordinary event then they have no life. Forget the meaning - just go out and have fun. If it's a 'dangerous' event - then use your intuition.

Reality is essentially devoid of meaning. There is no a priori meaning to any event or thing manifest in this reality. Meaning is what we assign to events and things. However, we can gain a great deal of self-awareness by noting the meanings that we assign events and things and discovering the patterns that reflect how we assign meaning and what those meanings are.

No. I assume there is some meaning in all events ordinary and otherwise, and leave it to whatever created this whole thing to know what the meaning is. For me, it is sufficient to know that there is some meaning even if it's beyond my ability to comprehend.

I don't believe that there are supernatural signs and signals being beamed to all who are keen enough to spot them, but I do believe it's possible to take clues from people's body language. It's important to be able to "read" a situation.

My friend asked a somewhat similar question in our Bible study the other week...she asked how do we know that IT IS a sign already, a sign to take this road rather than the other...and a member answered if it takes greater faith, then it is.

It all depends. You have to be able to discern. Some events are meaningless, but others are full of importance. I met my true love because he missed a bus after rehearsal for a play one evening.
