There is a shareware program called Intelligent Wake up that can turn on, shut down, and hibernate. I can't recommend it, however, since I have not personally tested it.

Another way to have a system turn itself on is to check in the BIOS settings of your motherboard. Many new motherboards have the option to have the computer turn on and shut off at set times based on the CMOS clock. This option would generally be found under the power management section of the BIOS. Changing BIOS settings can have ill effects though.

or, i use this program called ShutDown Machine

You have these freeware:
• XPT Express, Shutter, SDS (Shutdown Scheduler), ShutDownOnTime and more at:
http://www.snapfiles.com/Freeware/system/fwshutdown.html

These utilities allow you to do a event scheduler that can automatically shutdown, reboot, hibernate, suspend or log off your computer at a designated time or after a countdown elapsed. Instead of shutdown options, you can also choose to mute your volume, turn off the monitor or run a program instead. Check which one is the best for you.
Tip: Don't leave an application running with an unsaved file in it at the end of the day (you shouldn't do this anyway). If you do, the computer will remain on, waiting for you to decide whether to save the file.

shutdown [{-l|-s|-r|-a}] [-f] [-m [\\ComputerName]] [-t xx] [-c "message"] [-d[u][p]:xx:yy]

Anyway not so simple. You can place that shutdown command in a batch file (*.bat) and use a planned operation to execute that file at a certain hour. The problem is that that command can't always power-off your computer, it simply switch it off withour powering it off! Don't ask me why...
