They made a lot of money, Lars ruined Napster, and now they are enjoying their success.

Didn't they document the nervous breakdown the guys were having on VH1 not too long ago? I mean, I think they even made a movie about them and the substance problems, their created differences, the works. But, they pulled it off to make their last album pretty well recieved (or, so I've heard).
But, now, they actually have a cartoon on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim's Sunday lineup. It is called, I think, 'Metalipocalypse' or something like that. That is the last thing I know about them.

man thats a good question. There new album was whack, sounds like awhole bunch of old men trying to go back to there glory days, they should have stayed retired if you ask me. and besides that, they went totally asshole when they led the crusade to sue napster like they didnt have enough money ******* *** suckers.

They're doing fine. I still like their music. I like some of their old stuff, and some of their new stuff. It doesn't all have to be the same exact thing with every album. As long as its great stuff.

the lead singer went to rehab stop drugs and drinking and group lost the drive and edge to sing now. husband has some of the cd in his records collections

actually they are recording with rick Rubin(slayer)...and were on a summer tour to get out of the studio for a little bit...they said they wanted to go back to the ride the lightning days but we will see...i really haven't liked much since the black album and ride the lightning is my favorite...hopefully they go back to their thrash metal roots. check metallica.com

They have been working on a new album and its nothing like ST. Anger witch is good.

THEY CUT THEIR HAIR!!! just kidding. but i thought they looked better with long hair. yeah, you're right. they were a VERY good band. very good. real genuine talent. too bad. sort of like the guns and roses phenomenon. just poof, they're gone.
