I can see no good reason why you should not take both, and I hope you are not going to abandon the one you don't take.

You should never choose a new home if it won't take all of your animals. This is emotionally painful for the animal. Animals get just as attached to their owners as loving owners get to them. If you can get away with telling your landlord that you have a dog, but keep the cat, that would be the best option for all involved. It's much easier to keep a cat secret since they stay indoors (or should for that matter.) Then you would be able to keep both animals rather than trusting that a shelter will be able to find a home for either of them. Having a pet is a commitment and animals are not ours to dispose of. Please keep that in mind next time you purchase a companion animal. It is a lifelong commitment.

you should take the cat. Most ppl will take in a puppy, but find a good home for him before you leave him behind. I'm sorry you have to choose i had to do the same thing w/ my cats but one was older then the other. And he's doing just fine in his new house.

The cat. The puppy is young, and can easily adjust to new people and a new loving family. Since you describe it as a 'cat' and not a 'kitty' or 'kitten,' I assume you've had the cat longer, and it's older and therefore knows you and loves you. The adjustment would be much harder for it, if you had to find it a new family AND dwelling place all at once.

This sounds like something you should have thought about before you decided to move.

If this was a move that had to happen because of reasons beyond your control YOU need to sit down and think about whats best for both animals.

I love cats , but the puppy would need food and protection, so I would say the puppy. You could leave one with a friend and take the other, and when you can you could get the one you left, back.

if any, take the cat, and bring the puppy to a pet smart or something. The pup will be more likely adopted than a grown cat

We provide a command "go away IT" on each and every occasion my German Shepherd domestic dog gained't go away the cat on my own. The cat can fend for himself, yet in certain circumstances i'm getting annoyed!! Lol. he's realized to go away him on my own after we are saying "go away it" in view that we educated him to attraction to close that on each and every occasion we are saying that we advise he needs to flow faraway from the cat. We did this by technique of repeating the word at the same time as grabbing his collar and pulling him away. Now he does it on his own. yet with a small canine like that i does no longer be bowled over if the component bit ya at the same time as you've been attempting to tug it away. i'd use my foot and push the canine away at the same time as putting forward go away it, and at the same time as they offer up attacking, praise the canine.

You didn't say why you can only take one. If it's because you are only "allowed" one pet at your new home, then just bring them both. Cats hardly count as pets and are easy to hide.

you should take them both. Thats why i dont think people should own animals unless they have their own home because of this exact reason. you should find a place that will accept 2 pets.
