I found small, basic fish sticks in the organic section of the supermarket. They don't have a lot of the additives like regular fish sticks. Should I be concerned about feeding him fish?

I could either crumble them up or hand a whole one to him, I'm sure, and he'd be fine with nibbling off peices. He eats a well balanced fresh and/or organic diet and I am one of those people that hates the crap inabox products, as well! :) - just thought I'd toss a little variety in there for him once in a while with the fish sticks. Thanks for all of your input!

Well i think that fish-sticks are OK as long as they contain alot of preservatives, and pardon my french crap or as i like to say crap in abox,Don't worry fish are ago just as long as there not apart of a regular diet.I have kids and to feed them fish-stick once in a while but i always make sure i give them something beneficial as well to go along with like carrots and an apple or grapes and worrry to much our moms fed us everything and we all turned out OK most of us did anyway! No, an 11 month old can eat fish now. Fish sticks is a good food for your child to have at lunch time. He can feed himself and have fun eating it. You can also feed him regular fish also now. You just have to make sure it doesn't have bones in it. Just be carfeful with regular fish. Fish sticks are fine.

No, fish is really health. Its a good source of protein. If your really concerned you shoud talk to a doctor about the what's okay to feed your child and what's not. Good luck and congrats!

My only concern with feeding my 1 year old fish is mercury and other water polutants, so I only do it occasionally.

My opinion is don't be concerned, but don't feed it to him every day :)
