Yes it is, but it should be addressed immediately that you are only looking for friendship only and not sex or a romance, seeing how homosexuals are attracted to the same sex it can easily be misconstrued as a physical interest upon initial meetings. Friendships are important and sexual liaisons can lose steam and friendships evolve, but if looking just for friends, state that upon teh first meeting, that way any advances towards you and you will know that they are not friendship material as they did not respect your wishes.

I would like to point out that being gay doesn't keep you from living a normal live. I'm gay and doing just that. Cleaning my house, doing dishes, getting groceries, watching my neighbours kids, go out, cook diner, pay mortgage and taxes, love my boyfriend, go to work, contribute to our town community, laughing, talking: normal live. If your gay friend have sex with women and get them pregnant? Sure he can, biological speaking, as long as they're all fertile. Not sure if he will enjoy it.

YES, dont you have a bunch of gay guys who are like your brothers? I actually have 4 of them. We all met in college ( Boston College to be exact) We hang out together, we shopped together, go clubbing together. We developed a certain brotherhood with each other. Granted that we don't live in the same city anymore ( BOSTON) we still go to Provincetown or Miami to meet. I love them all and I'll do anything to protect them.
Also, not all gay guys want to sleep with each other. You will find your gay friends, trust me.

Well, it definately IS possible..it's the same exact way with straights too...i mean..girls will think that they have made JUST friends with a guy..and he'll want to jump into a relationship too...same way with guys and girls...so yeah, it's just the kind of people that you are meeting, i would try and explain to them that you are only looking for friends.

It is definitely possible to just be friends. I had a co-worker who was also gay. We got along great. He had a BF, and we used to go out to bars together, go to movies, etc. I was kind of new to the lifestyle, and they were very helpful. I didn't feel like he was interested in me sexually, and I was the same way with him. So it definitely is possible

I have many platonic gay male friends and I'm a gay boy myself. Not that I haven't wanted to sleep with some of them; I'm no saint and I never pretended to be one. But by and large, they are quite platonic and I have never had sex with any of them (despite entertaining a few THOUGHTS). LOL

Of course it is. I have had more gay men friends than lovers. Maybe if you meet them in groups or a place that involves teamwork, like volunteering or gay church or something.

You must be a real hottie! ;)
Don't let it bother you so much. Treat them the same way you would if a girl you weren't interested in was hitting on you. Put yourself in their shoes, would you be able to be just friends with a really hot chick? Let them give you a BJ once in a while, when they're getting no reciprocation, they'll get the picture.
