I dont know what phone he has, but mine is the samsung t509, the t809 has mp3 and removable media but it is a slider phone, my friend has one and its a good phone too, the t509 doesnt have an mp3 or removable media, it is a block style phone, the thinnest they make, and it has a great camera with options for pics and videos like negative, sketch, black and white, emboss, sepia, orange and aqua... I am with t-mobile and reception is really good, has real music ringtones and sounds super clear

only complaints that I have is that it is hard to get to calender and I had to return it once, it froze right after turning it on, that is after i had it for 7 months... no water damage, i think that was cuz i got it right when it came out and they didnt fix all the bugs yet...

I would reccomend this phone if your not looking for something with mp3 or removable memory

I have this phone and for the most part I like it. It is small and has a lot of features such as an MP3 player, camera and so on. The camera is the same as any other camera phone so don't look for anything spectacular. There is a slot for additional memory (32 mb card included) but you can purchases cards with more memory (I suggest doing so) in order to hold more songs. It has a pretty loud and clear speaker phone that allows for pretty good music play as well as talking. The reception (I have T-mobile) is pretty good, I don't have many drop calls and even with one bar of reception it still sound clear. If I was not going to buy a PDA phone this is what I would get again.
