i have the brainpower for physics but still do not score well in exams whereas i understand most of the stuff well(but not with the tiniest details as teachers do not explain every point that is important)

Here is a site you can order CD's from. No one but you and your teacher know what grade level and skill level you are at but these CD's you can study on your own. How detailed remains to be seen. Some people learn without much effort others take a lot more. Physics is not one of the most fun courses. It has it's uses but not a lot of practical applications in everyday life. CD source is listed below.

Memorize what the equations DO. Itll help you when you need to solve a problem. Also read the word problems very well, you may pick up how it wants you to go about solving the problem.
