A couple of months ago on the news there was a piece about a new site that has opened, and they made a big deal about it because its for over-50. I can't remember the name of it, but for some reason I think it could begin with the letter "O", but maybe its "E" (big help, eh?).

Maybe you could try a google search and a couple of others, and ask for "sites for people over 50" or even something like "My Space for people over 50".

I wish I could remember more about the site they had a grand opening for and had some celebrity involved, but I just can't. I didn't pay that much attention to it. It is new, though, and it is advertised as "My Space for Baby Boomers" (you could a term like that too (Baby Boomer websites). Sorry I couldn't be more help.

At the time of the news piece, though, they said this was a new thing because older people generally otherwise don't have such a site.

For listening to music you could try the trial period for RealRhapsody. They let you have a trial period and then you have to either pay a small amount per month or else you can't use Real Rhapsody. For this you do have to download the RealRhapsody software, but its easy.

You could also do searches for Internet radio sites. There are sites for every taste in music, and there are sites that have music for every taste.

I don't know if you'd want to do this, but you could always do Instant Message Chat, and when you send an invitation to chat you can specify your interests. Instant Message is something you download from AOL.

There are also forums for many sites. You could do a search for "senior forums" or "sites with forums for people over 50", and something may show up somewhere. (For example, my cell phone service provider has a forum on their site for people who have their phones. Any organization or company that are products or services for older people may have a forum,)

I see no way of stopping anyone unless you make it by membership only and require id to be mailed in.
