I'd take out the thermostat and run it that way to see if it overheats. if it does, then it maybe in your radiator or water pump

defective cooling fans or fan motor relay. Does the fans come on when you turn on the AC?
No check your fan circut. If they do then either the thermostat is stuck, no coolant in system, broken water pump or a bad cooling fan temp switch

It could be the cooling fans, as they are run on electric motors. Start engine, and let warm up...I know it overheats, but then have the hood up, and locate the fans behind the radiator. When you know its hot, and don't hear no fans turn on, that is most likely the problem. Hope this helps with my vague answer.

water pump,leak in radiator,radiator cap not on properly,radiator hose thats about all i can think of bb.

my first guess is that the thermostat is bad ... hmm....perhaps a sensor in there somewhere?
