Meteorologists need a college degree in their particular discipline and most go on to get at least a master's degree.

Hello, Now may be a bad time to join the service, but I got my weather training in the Air Force. I was a weather observer. They will still let anybody be a weather observer but to go to forecasting school I think you need a degree in something. If you are interested go talk to a recruiter. Take someone else there with you to make sure you do not sign anything!!!!
