Yes, Iceland is expensive. Glass of wine about £7. To buy a bottle in their shops [like our off-license] it's about £20 - £30. Some very nice restaurants but expect to pay around £80 - £100 for 2 people [although worth it, I'd say]. People are lovely, Country is wonderful.

Philip, I thought Iceland to be incredibly expensive. In my 14 days in Iceland I spent the double of during any comparable trip anywhere else. And I went camping, got my food from supermarkets and not once did I go to a bar or restaurant.

I find Iceland do some great multibuy deals. I buy potato products and frozen vegetables there. One of the cheapest supermarkets around if you are looking for low cost items but choice wise it is rather limited

Yes it is expensive, but if you know your way around there you don't have to spend that much.

Their own brand products are cheap but name brands are about the same as elsewhere.
