Any one else think that the Hulk is just TOO EASILY the toughest or most superior comic "hero"?

I mean no matter who you pick in a "Who would win..." question, The Hulk is almost automatically chosen as the winner because he has an apparently neverending strength to him. It's always, "the angrier he gets the stronger he becomes"

Since he's always pissed-off and naturally hot tempered, in a fight he would ALWAYS win because he'd just get madder and madder with every blow that he gets from his opposition.

Yeah,... okay. David Banner is the weak point. Buuuut David Banner isn't someone you think, "Hey, I'm going to shoot this guy for no reason." You don't know he's the Hulk until he changes. By than it's too late you have HULK to deal with. And from what I've gathered on the Net and in the comics, Hulk, when tranformed completely, becomes almost inpervious to anything including projectile weapons and cuts and abrasions. He heals quickly (like Wolverine) and if I'm not mistaken Wolverine DID battle him and couldn't just "slice his head off" due to the fact that he healed so quickly and his skin was tough as hell.... even for Adamantium.

Someone correct me who has actually read that particular comic where they battle each other and let us all know what happened please.

You got it right but the Hulk has lost twice against the Silver Surfer and I have a possible theory on that. During their battles it is always by pure coincedence that they meet each other. Even though gamma rays are strong but cosmic rays are a little bit stronger. The third time they faced each other was during the Planet Hulk series but they sided with each other to overthrow a race that take different alien race and force them to battle in a gladiator arena.

Now the question with who will win Wolverine or Hulk. That is a very difficult question because both are apparently indestructible and in a What If question where the Hulk killed Wolverine and that was by pure accident of course. Plus it depends on the artists doing the book. The Hulk can beat Wolvie but it will be very very difficult unless the Hulk can severed his head with a sharp saw blade or a sword that has to be the same material has Wolvie's skeleton. I hope this helps you out.

To you Hulk haters: The HULK IS THE STRONGEST MORTAL IN THE WORLD!!! better than that p***Y-@$$ Superman.

Ok - several things. First, the Hulk is the toughest, bar none. Regarding some other questions from answerers:

The hulk was gray originally, due to a printing error. And, in the beginning he only changed at night. Later they did the green thing and made him changing to the Hulk about becoming angry. And, at certain points in the history of the comic book, the Hulk was completely savage and there was no influence of Robert Bruce Banner (NOT David like the TV show) for the Hulk to revert back to.

Regarding Wolverine, Wolverine's first appearance (as Weapon X) was in the Incredible Hulk (#182, I think). In that appearance, Wolverine's claws did not appear to pierce the Hulk's skin. Many years later, during a an era when he was back to being the gray Hulk, Wolverine fought him again, and cut him badly (the Hulk bled Green). THe Hulk healed quickly, and as the fight raged on, he cut him less and less until you couldn't see the cuts anymore.

The explanation given, was that the Hulk (the grey version was shorter and not as initially strong as the green version) had cellular regeneration that was off the charts, since he had been created by being irradiated with Gamma Rays. His body produced cells at an amazing rate, like a cancer (which can come about from radiation). However, Wolverine's claws didn't seem to cut the green Hulk in his first appearance because the Hulk was stronger in the green version and was already very mad and regenerating at the highest rate. Wolverine attacked the gray hulk (at rest) who was a bit weaker and not ticked off to the highest just yet. That was Marvel's "clever" way of dealing with how Wolverine's adamantium claws (which can cut through ANYTHING-except Captain America's shield) didn't seem to cut the Hulk in Wolverine's debut.

So, the green version of the Hulk, without the Banner influence, would open a can of whoopa#% on Superman or anyone else. The heat vision would give the Hulk a mild sunburn at best - it's been tried already.

P.S. The TV show was fun, but couldn't portray how strong the Hulk was. In the TV show he could be shot... no way. And the movie was HORRIBLE. The HULK didn't get bigger as he got madder, just stronger. Plus his dad was long deceased by the time he grew up

yikes, hulk haters... lol
i have read the comic in which wolverine battles the hulk.
half way through the fight the hulk rips wolvy in half, and after he crawls to safety and heals, he goes back for some revenge.
now he doesnt really win. he cuts the hulk up alot and gives him a few new scars for the time being but never wins.
and them other heroes like cyclops and superman and storm... give it up they got no chance against the almighty hulk.
im sure Sentry might be the only one that can truly hurt the hulk, and thats cause nobody has a clue what he can do.
as for everyone else, including professor x they can try and try again, but none will ever come close to getting the best of the big green machine!

I'm not a comic reader myself, although I have read several comics about Spiderman.

And while I'm not much of a comic reader I do listen to those that talk about it. A friend at work brought up that Hulk is very durable when it comes to penetrating his skin and that he gets stronger as he gets mad.

I agree with your initial thinking in so much as the Hulk is a little too "perfect" when it comes to pure strength and endurance.

Superman is the same... kind of. Like I said to my friend though, Superman has kryptonite and his basic weakness for humanity itself. Have either of those in your hand and he becomes nothing but a "slave" to your will. Hulk on the other hand, has no compassion for anyone in his green Hulk form. He just wants to destroy whatever or whoever is "pissing him off" as you put it, and there's nothing that will stand in his way. Is this a little too convenient...? Yes,... a little. Because no matter how big or bad the enemy is the Hulk will just get stronger and stronger until he surpasses his foe's capabilities and eventually destroys them.

Hmmm... kinda reminds me of a certain spiky haired Super Saiajin you know? The more he gets beat down the more powerful he becomes.

LOL

Now there's your ultimate fight everyone!

Goku vs. Hulk!!

Not true! Superman is the toughest. See, Kryptonite is the only thing that can kill superman and is not easily gotten. But on the other hand the Incredible Hulk eventually turns back into David Banner and 1 bullet to the head and he is dead. No time to get angry! So my choice is Superman.

Unless...

Wolverine slices his head of with his adamantium claws, which can pierce anything and everything. No brain-body communication, no more Hulk.

Superman or Cyclops melts/blows him up with his laser eye blast.

Storm blows his a** right out of the atmosphere.

Professor X gets into his head, gains control of his thoughts, convinces him to be happy, the Hulk shrinks and he's vulnerable for anyone to blow him away.

There are so many possible scenarios here...

The hulk dies in the comics, the TV Series, proving himself to have a weakness. What is his weakness? It's Bruce Banner... Hulk is badass, but he has vulnerable. He's is stupid as bricks too, not hard to trick him. Hulk don't think, Hulk just SMASH!!!!

Well Jerry Seinfeld would tell a few jokes to calm the hulk down, and then superman would just blast him unexpectedly. You know, Jerry and superman are good friends.
