This is a classic Zen koan. I can clap with one hand, for my hands are better-coordinated than most people's. It makes the same noise as two hands clapping but not as loud. I suppose it's about 1/4 the volume.

One hand clapping captures the wind, cups it within itself and the sound of lonliness. One hand clapping is a very lonely thing. You need a pair for the world to hear you. Whoa pretty profound, huh? I ate quesadillas that's why lol
