I think this statement has been accepted as truth when it fact it is not true.
Passion or infatuation can change dependent on the recipients responses. Many have claimed undying love only to realize it is merely want that made it so not actual compatibility.
Love is love it may take a back seat to practical life situations but you can not hate someone you truly loved.
Hate is useless tool of the ignorant. It neither inspires us nor does it make us feel better about ourselves.
Hating an object is also futile as hate is an emotion which the item will never know.
So love abundantly and hate nothing!

I don't believe there is a "fine line" between love and hate. There is a huge gap between the two....it's called "like".
