About £300-£400, but that is a drop in the ocean compared to everything else you could spend.

An average wedding with all the trimmings is at least £12,000

Around £300 or so. That's just the fee for the marriage service. It doesn't include having the choir, bellringers or the organist to play. They don't have a choice about charging that £300 - it's required by the Diocese. I was in my church choir for a year or so before I married there and I still had to pay it. It was cheaper when I divorced him, but wouldn't be now as court fees have doubled.

i think it depends on where you go - some dont charge but may expect you to make a donation to the church instead.

think it varies alot but my parents got married last year and it cost them £300
