From personal experience it's kind of like an addiction if you have it all the time you want it loads but if it's not available you just don't think about it - it's perfectly normal, when someone comes along who you really fancy you'll get them back again.

It could be due to many things -- a change in hormone levels, for example. You did not mention you age, but in middle age, some women's libido decreases. Some kinds of medication can affect your degree of sexual feelings, for example some blood pressure medications and some anti-depressants, among many others. If you are concerned, you can ask your doctor for a blood test.
