Lack of communication could be one reason. Things are sure a lot different now than when I was a child. Divorce was such a rare event that when it did happen to someone's family, it was a HUGE event.

Have you read some of the things people post on here? I mean if these are the average people in the country, it's no wonder the rate isn't higher.

because they have made divorce so easy and people don't have the same morals that they did 20 years ago. Divorce isn't the huge taboo that it used to be, it's acceptable now, sadly.

Because people are too young and/or too immature to get married when they do. And divorce is as easy as an 800 number........it's a shame....

Because they both selfish and at some marriage believe it or not..one of them has to be very patient to make it work.

By reading all the questions here on Answers, I would say its all the damn cheating and threesomes going on....geesh......I am single, I wouldn't get married unless I could TRULY settle with one man only............WTF is wrong with people nowadays???
