go to TOOLS in the internet explorer browser. Click INTERNET OPTIONS, set your desired homepage, click APPLY, then OK! If that doesn't work, your computer may have a virus. Also, it probably switched when you went to a shady site. Clear Cookies and Delete temporary files. This can prevent you from making the change. That is under Internet Options too.

It's one of a couple of things - soemthing called a Browser Helper Object or a Homepage Hijacker, both are spyware.
Try this first...
In Internet Exlorer click on TOOLS on the top menu then click INTERNET OPTIONS (the GENERAL tab should be selected but if not then click it). You can enter your desired homepage in the box provided. If after doing this it still reverts back to the saftyhomepage thing then you need to update your spyware and run a full system scan.
If you don't have anti-spyware software you need to get some, likewise you need up to date anti-virus and anti-adware programs.
Google Pack is an excellent set of programs which includes 6 months free subscription to Norton Anti-Virus as well as adware and spyware removal programs. There's loads of other stuff like the Google video player, Google Earth etc... http://pack.google.com
