Well, he could go ask his neighbors if they would like their lawn de-cluttered with all those leaves falling. He can also be a dog walker. He can also ask an elderly person do they need help when they go grocery shopping (to help read the labels, reach things, carry the bags home for them). He can wash cars. He can help out a very busy Mom with dishes, grocery, drying the clothes while she gets her kids ready for dinner/bed time.
So, there are just some of the things your 11 year old son can do to earn extra money. I mean, he can even go to the supermarket and ask if they have a job for him. (I'm here in Jersey and know that at one of our local supermarket, they have a boy around that age whose job it is to get all the carts from the parking lot and put it back). Or, he can be a bagger or clean and sweep around the place or be a stock person.
I hope all the things I have suggested is an interest to both you and your son. And, once he gets the hang of earning his own money and have the confidence to keep his grades up and to wanting to earn more, by the time he turns 18, you will have a very independent young man.
Good Luck!

He could work for neighbors doing little odd jobs like mowing lawns, picking up leaves. Stuff like that. I dont think they really have paperboys anymore, otherwise Id suggest that. See if the school has any fundraising activities he could participate in. Selling candy bars, stuff like that. Another way for you and him to do it together is to start collecting things around the house no one wants or needs anymore and have a yard sale. Have him help you put price tags on things and be a lil salesman when people come by. Its a way the 2 of you can spend some time together, a chance to get useless stuff out of your house, and to help him raise money for his trip! You could even set out a lil box for donations explaining what the money is going towards. Id drop a few bucks in there if I stopped by that garage sale! Good lcuk and I hope if he raises enough he has a safe and wonderful trip!

Yeah when i was a kid my mom put out a small table in front of the house with paper cups and a huge jug of lemonade each cup for 50 cents.

Passersby's especially those poeple coming home from work on a hot day were my best customers. I dont remember how much i made but it sure was a lot. Kept me busy

Also cleaning, throwing out the trash, washing the car, washing dishes and doing laundry but this depends on the height and strength of the kid.

At 11 he really isn't old enough to babysit. Why not give him some chores around the house to do and then pay him for them. Or maybe have him mow some lawns or weed some gardens or something.

I don't think he can get an actual job at a company like that until he's 14 or 15 (depending on your state laws). I'd suggest he go door to door around you neighborhood and offer to mow lawns or other types of chores for money.

baby sitting, helping out neighbors. If you can cut grass, but I'm pretty sure you're too young. Some people might think you are too young for babysitting too. Do you get an allowance? If you do, save that. You could do extra chores at your house.

I mowed and raked yards. I would drag my lawnmower around and go door to door. I did okay. I worked way too hard for the money, but that is the way of the world when you are only 11. :)

How about mowing lawns or dog sitting/ dog walking..... I know that I have a 2 year old puppy that has tons of energy. He could sure use an extra walk each day.
