I'm single and I've come to accept the fact that Mr. Right may or may not appear in my life. However, I am a true romantic and I don't know what to do with my feelings and desire. How do I find a substitute for releasing them and make myself happy. No matter what I do or how satisfied I am with my work, school, friends, you name it, nothing compares to the grandeur of romantic experience with my beloved.

I need to ask you this, Are you dating anyone or do you feel that it is useless to even date because you don't believe that your true love is out there? I have been in the same situation, It is hard to just sit and watch your love life go down the drain! But I realized that the only reason why my love life was going down the drain was because I was letting it! There are tons of men out there, but we seem to want just one specific one! And if we do not find that one then we just give up! For one thing, a couple needs to be able to blend together in many ways! And the dream man that you are wanting just might not want the same things that you do! That is why it is best to be Patient and have Faith & Trust in God!
I know that we are use to having doubts and seeing our relationships fail! Holding on to our past experinces does not help us at all. Because we are always trying to cause or compare the flaws that we have had with someone else with the relationship that we have now! And that only ruins the relationship, it does not help it!!!!! Everyone is different and is their own person! When it is time for your True Love to come along,Believe me he will! It has been over 23yrs now, And I believe that because I was Patient, & I Never Married the first man that I had been involved with, because he did not feel for me or respect me the way that I did him, that God has blessed me and I have now found my True Love and that he has found his also!!!!!!!
Because he is also single and was Patient in finding his True Love as well!!!!!
Good Luck!!!!!

There is no exact formula to it...Does THE ONE that currently exist in your mind exist in real life? Try talking out the qualities of that ideal person to a trusted friend. If your friend ends up LOL, it may be a clue that your fantasy lover exists only in your (warped) mind.
It's good to know what you want, but if you're waiting for someone with all the qualities you demand, you may just have a long wait ahead of you. And sometimes, what you think is important actually isn't. (If you've watched "Shrek", it's like the princess wanting a prince, when her one true love was Shrek.)
So take a step back, and see if you're looking for a Prince are Happiness...

That's the way it was for me for a while. I was to into my studies to even worry about a relationship. Then I graduated College and started my first job. Then bam ! There she was. I hadn't even notice until a friend pointed her out to me and told me as she was passing by, "Now there's the kind of girl you marry, not mess around with." We've been married 16 years now and she's the love of my life.
Look around your work place or your social hang outs, you never know, Mr. Right could be staring you in the face.
Good Luck ! - :)

First off, you have to make urself happy before you can make anyone else happy. Stop trying so hard... I am a hopeless romantic and my husband is not.. however... it doesn't mean we don't have a great relationship. What he considers to be romantic may not mean the same to me.. In order to be happy you have to make someone else happy that is where happiness leads to you. But in general, noone can make you happy or nothing, unless u yourself are happy with you!.
