Does anyone know how to uninstall the ares the file sharing program?

just cant do it

It happens some times not only with ares but with not official programs (for example this never will happen to Microsoft Office). So download CCleaner and go to tools try to uninstall from there if nothing delete the entry then just do a cleanup and a defragment and you will be O.K.

Reboot the computer in safe mode, then uninstall the software again.

go to start > control panel> add/remove programs, then find the program you want uninstalled on the list, click on it, and remove it.
