This is a learned behavior - it has nothing to do with nature. A child learns a whole lot from it's parents. This learned behavior happens without observing violence through medias. If a child sees 'heartless' acts, from parents and then sees it through the media - then the child becomes a total mess. A child needs love and nurturing to be a healthy human..

No, people are not heartless by nature. When you are constantly surrounded by and bombarded with violence on TV and in movies and now even in music, people become desensitized and it doesn't seem to bother them anymore. It was not like this 15 or 20 years ago.

Heartless by nature. The people selling us out to Mexico and Isreal don't have time for watching media.

When the leaders of any country are more concerned with greed and avarice instead of the people they are supposed to govern and protect, what do you think people in general will turn toward. People singly are intelligent and contemplative, but in groups tend towards stupidity and that is just where there leaders want them, because it is easier to control stupid people than intelligent people.

i think that there are people who are innately kind and just as many that are cruel to the core its a delicate balance of human nature that is necessary because if everyone one were kind there would be no way for us to detect or recognize random acts of kindness
