How much more do they need? Should we draw them a map to the nearest welfare office.

1. They had FIVE days notice that a huricane was coming. If you can't find a way out of town in five days, start walking, someone would have picked you up.

2. Most of the people from ward 9 didn't even own the homes that were destroyed, they were renters receiving rental assistance through the government to begin with. The landlords lost the homes and they had insurance. These people received money for homes they didn't even own!

3. If you were told a huricane was coming, and you planned on staying, wouldn't you have stocked up on the basic necessities ahead of time? IE: water, diapers, food, etc.

4. What was up with all the looting? Let's see, there is no electricity, water up to your waist, nothing to eat or drink, so lets go to Walmart and loot stereos and plasma TV's.

5. When the army comes to rescue us, lets shoot at them. When we stuck ourselves in the Dome because we were to lazy to find a way out of town, let cry racism because no one would come rescue us. And lets **** all over the place, rape children, and tear the place up.

6. Ray Nagin is a bleathering idiot who dropped the ball, could have gotten most of those people out of town on the buses that are now ruined ( 50 people per bus, 170 busses, thats over 8,000 people who could have been evacuated) But old Nagin, he a sly one, blame Bush, blame race relations, say "I did everything I could for my peoples" and get your lying *** re-elected.

It's been a year and some of those people have made No effort what so ever tyo help themselves. They just sit around and complain with their hand out.

And last but not least, FEMA was scammed out of 2 BILLION dollars by the good, law abiding citizens of New Orleans and surrounding cities. How much more money do they need?

North East Ohio was just flooded, and do you know how much help we got from FEMA, Not a God damned dime. Families in Eastlake, Painesville, Grand River lost everything. Whole houses were swept away by flood waters, and they got nothing from FEMA. All the help came from local groups, the Red Cross, and Salvation Army fund raiser compaigns.

More than enough. The situation was cause originally because the Mayor and the Govenor refused to let FEMA help. Not because FEMA failed as they now want to claim. It is documented that help was refused. Charities and the public plus insurance companies then sent almost a Billion dollars for relief. Most every penny of this money was wasted, stolen, and banked, by the "experts" who flock to every disaster to "get their share". The Mayor is suspected of having enormous offshore bank accounts holding his share and he is the black man calling racial and class foul the loudest. Now the Senator and the Govenor are asking for a Billion in tax funds to fix what was already paid for. You will find no sympathy here and also you will never find another donation for anything -ever.

No. The US Government should have been there for the citizens of the New Orleans within 24 hours, instead of sitting on their laurels in D.C. It is still doing nothing but pointing blame at each other.

Depends on what you mean by enough. They got lots of help down there and were helped by the government and other agencies. I think they need to help themselves a little too.
