Someone created a website and registered a domain name for me, and now I've lost contact with that person. Does anyone know how to access my website in order to modify it? I believe it was created with flash which, I could have access to. Is this a task which I should get a professional to do? Or is this a task which I could perform myself......Please help!

You can learn anything that you want for web design if you have time. I would recommend you to start with HTML and when you master it you can learn _javascript and Flash and evrything you want and to be a webmaster. ( you can find some really easy turtorials of HTML and for _javascript at http://www.w3schools.com also you would need to learn flash so take another easy site http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/ ) It will take you time but you will know everything about your site, also you won't pay for the updates of ypur site.

You'd need to know the password to access your domain for downloading and uploading pages and you'd need some knowledge of how to make the changes. If you don't know anything about it, best get someone who does, but it costs!

In addition to previous answers, you also have to have a FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program to transfer files from your computer to the server. A popular one is Cute FTP. I use Coffee Cup FTP because it's free!
