In total agreement with you. I am a Raider fan big time. I tried to get a picture from George Blanda after reading how he was the oldest quarterback. Of course, I didn't, but I did get a Raiders sticker with a picture of the raiders as well. The Raiders seem to keep a lot of their people until they are ancient don't they? LOL

I wouldn't be surprised if Andrew Walter ending up getting quite a bit of PT and maybe even starting eventually this season. Sure Aaron Brooks had some good preseason games, but he just isn't a team leader and doesn't have the decision making ability that's necessary.
That said, the Raiders don't really need to draft running backs and quarterbacks. Lamont Jordan is okay for now and QBs normally take some nurturing (like Walter). I don't really know what the answer is, but the really need a playmaker on defense...a Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, Troy Palamalu or someone like that.

You guys need to give Walters a chance. The kid has all the tools.
As for drafting for the lines...wel..that's good, except you guys have taken is excessively. Look at the Bills...that's what happens when you don't pay enough attention to the lines. It's also what happens to young QBs in poor situations...everyone hates on them because they aren't immediate successes. If the Raiders do the smart thing and go with Walters, understand it'll take time. Ask any Bengals fan....or Seahawks fan...or Packers fan. They know what developing a QB is about...

The Raiders DID draft a very good college QB a few years ago who is still on the roster, Andrew Walter from Arizona St! If the Raiders had any sense they would have made Walter the starter last year and started trying to make him their QB of the future instead of trading for mediocre veterans like Kerry Collins and Aaron Brooks.

I was surprised that they passed on Leinert and Cutler. However, the Raiders need to continue their focus on building their D and Offensive Line. They will pick up a running back next year through the draft or free agency and in 2008 they will obtain a surpise QB. Look for them to win the Superbowl in 2008 with a Stabler/Plunkett style QB.

If the Raiders do take care of to signal David Carr or yet another respectable QB, i actually do not see them drafting JaMarcus Russell. they can't enable someone that has the skills of WR Calvin Johnson bypass with the help of. a guy with the playmaking means of Johnson does no longer comprise the help of very typically and also you may want to sieze him once you've the chance. although if he supplies the Raiders a glut at WR, you both make that position a means, or you commerce both Porter or Moss (for a QB?). bypass Raiders!

First of all the Raiders don't need a running back. Lamont Jordan is good enough for a while. Although I do agree that they could use a quarterback, Aaron Brooks isn't good whatsoever.

What with all the Matt Leinart crap? he has a weak arm..and the Raiders depend on throwing the deep ball..which he can't do!!!! lets use a little logic people..Jordan isn't that old..they should have tried to get Brees in the offseason..or culpepper..now they look foolish..if they were going to draft anyone..it should have been cutler..a guy that doesn't have a noodle for an arm..and isn't aroused by his own farts like Leinart is
