No that doesn't sound normal to me.But of course alot of weird things happen when you are pregnant,Some people have their period or experience some spotting. However the best advice would be to see your doctor, there are also over the counter test but there not very accurate if your spotting or still having a period becuase they cannot detect the pregnancie hormone if your still having your period. So like i said before seeing your doctor is the best thing you can do becuase you may be pregnant.Stress, medicine, and many other things could be a factor. It could have just been a funky period. It also could have been something to do with miscarriage. The problem is that when people are trying to get pregnant, they see signs of pregnancy in everything. They don't want to believe it's their period because they want a baby. This drive is unbelievably strong in us women. It can actually cause your period to act funny or to even stop. If you are that worried about it, go to the doctor. Just so you know, miscarriage is accompanied by extreme cramping. Early in a pregnancy, before the mother knows she's pregnant this is often construed as a heavy period. I have had a miscarriage and 3 children. If I were you, I'd probably go to the doctor. Or call the advice nurse.

Well considering 50% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, I think that is the number, before the woman even realizes she is pregnant, I wouldn't worry about running to the doctor.... unless you start cramping severely.
Get protection, unless you want to get pregnant.
Many things can affect your period other than pregnancy, stress, depression, and even exercise. If you are really concerned then discuss these things with your doctor.

Spotting can occur sometimes, it's not completely abnormal. But the unprotected sex for a month (bad idea unless you're TRYING to get pregnant)... that could lead to pregnancy obviously. So I would take a test or call your dr. to get an appt.

brown is old blood. if you are having a miscarrage you will also cramp really bad. i had one once. you should get a hold of your doctor. if you do not have one you should go to the med center or a clinic. you want to make sure if you are pregnant it is not a tubal pregnancy. hope all is well! also periods can be weird. i skip for four months and go lightly. never mind the name robert i'm not male. its under my husbands name. i'm 32 so it may be early menopause (spelling). what is your age?

Sounds like possibly implantation bleeding (the brown) and a possible miscarriage (the bright red) I would call your OBGYN and tell them you think you had a miscarriage and see if you can get in.

the brown discharge is just old blood from your past period. what you experienced is totally NORMAL. but, if you want to be reassured take a pregnancy test about 1-2 weeks after your period ends.
good luck
NOTE
THIS IS ACTUAL A ABNORMAL PERIOD, BUT NOT ANYTHING I WOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT. THIS HAPPENS TO WOMEN WITH ABNORMAL PERIODS. IF YOU RECENTLY HAD ANY ABORTION THIS WILL DEFINITELY CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN.
