Yes its warm and they grow zuchini there. I used to live in Seaside when I was stationed at Ft Ord in US Army

Salinas is about 1 1/2 hrs from San Francisco, its very hot and dirty area , dirty because its a farm community

I've heard of it, but I've never been there. If it's in socal it's safe to assume it's a desert/dry region though.
