Is there any connection to the Knights Templar or the Illuminati?
What's the REAL story of this ancient secret fraternal society?
Any genuine Free Masons out there that can help me in my travels to find the truth? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am a Master Mason. While there is speculation about a relationship between the Knights Templar and Freemasonry, there is nothing definitive. Modern Freemasonry has its origins in 16th century Scotland and quickly spread into England. Today, it is one of the largest charitable organizations in the world.

Two excellent books on Freemasonry that are widely available are:

Freemasons for Dummies, http://www.amazon.com/Freemasons-Dummies-History-Biography-Politics/dp/0764597965/sr=8-2/qid=1157925599/ref=pd_bbs_2/103-1582163-3650234?ie=UTF8&s=books

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Freemasonry, http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Idiot-Guide-Freemasonry/dp/1592574904/ref=pd_sim_b_2/103-1582163-3650234?ie=UTF8

There are a lot of idiots out there who will call Masonry a religion or a cult, but they are the same people who would accuse the Pope of worshiping Satan--they are ignorant hacks.

My dad is a Master Mason. Its a long and intricate story too much to put on here. Holy Blood Holy Grail is a book that will help you understand a lot about the history of Masonry. Did you know that the skull and cross bones is actually a sign of Master Mason? The Knights Templar were forced to "break up" (for lack of a better term) by the king of spain. Many Knights Templar took to the seas and had the flag that represented they were Master Masons hung from their ship... some did becaome "pirates". The story behind how that became the sign of a Master Mason is in the book I told you about above. The first couple chapters talk almost exclusivly about Masons.

Masons must believe in one supreme being to be able to join, they can not be athiest or nonbelievers... Most Masons are faithful Christians... they were first called the Knights of Christ. People get your facts straight before you answer a question you know nothing about.

Some not all the "inner workings" are secret and only shared with Masons. The history of Masonry though is out there for everyone to know.

There are groups under Masons that allow women and childen: Eastern Star for women, Rainbows for young girls, DeMolay (the first Master Mason) for young boys, Pledge for little girls...

If you are interested in the "workings" of modern dayy Masons call your local lodge typically called Blue Lodge. If you are unsure of where one is, let me know where you live and my dad will be happy to find the lodge in your area.

Free Masons, I believe were the builders of the ancient pyramids of the Kings of Egypt, and then they gravitated to include the houses of the Kings of Europe and the presidents of the USA and any important industrialists of our times. About the Knights of Templar and the Illuminati, I am really not sure of any connection between them and the Free Masons. But, I know there are many books about this subject that has just been published and they are very quite interesting.

Freemasonry's stated purpose is to make a good man into a better man. Masonry teaches a system of conduct and attitudes for use in dealing with other people. It also encourages its members to actively seek to better themselves through hard work, dedication, and education. To convey these lessons, symbols and allegories are used. Each of our visual symbols has a meaning which is designed to remind us of some moral or social virtue which we should learn and practice. The stories we tell in course of our three degrees of membership are allegorical and designed to be impressive to the candidate while teaching important lessons. Above all else, Freemasonry is dedicated to the brotherhood of all mankind.

Many people speculate about Freemasonry and its origins. While Masonry does have secrets it is in no way a true secret society, being that membership is kept on record at all lodges. The only real secrets of Freemasonry are those that would not be of any use to those who are not members of the ordrer. These secrets are what we (yes I am a Mason) use to identify one another. If you are truly seeking enlightenment on this matter research it, pray about it and then think hard about this decision. After you have realized that this is what is in your heart then try ro contact a lodge in your area.

if you are really interested, go to a Masonic Lodge and show your interest. One major requirement is a belief in the supreme being. the Lodge took off about the time the Church said that the only knowledge needed was in the bible and that math was a type of witch craft. (the Dark Ages) later on there was a problem with Hitler. he didn't' just try to exterminate Jews and non Aryans, being a mason also earned you a free ride to a concentration camp. i think that most of the "devil worshipers", "cult" etc accusations come from neo-nazis

You can`t become a Templar they haven`t existed as an organisation since the beginning of the 13th century. To become a Freemason you must be invited by a current Mason and then be selected to undergo the "initiation".

Yes- there is a connection.I am not a mason but I know a bit. Unlike others who have no clue about the society we live in and who runs it.
Look for David Icke, he writes and knows about this (somewhat "secret society") that DOES EXIST.

Also, If you are able to, I would highly reccomend a radio show that luckily will be streaming on-line tonight and every Friday from 10pm-1am- it is on kpfk- radio pacifica- (90.7fm), I do not listen online- so you will have to search for it.
David Icke sometimes gives out his knowledge on this show. It is not for everyone ofcourse, some things are dificult ot grasp afterall that we have come to believe. Either way I hope you like Hip-hop cause "Divine Forced Radio" is a REAL Hip-hop show *not to be confused with "Mainstream" hip-crap!
I hope you listen and listen again. Enjoy. And as I have heard before "arm yourself with knowledge".

I agree with "Josh's" answer. Not "Opinionated's" answer. Nothing against Women, but it is a "Fraternity". Therefore, it is impossible for a woman to give 1st hand information about the inner-workings of any organization set up as such.
