This may be hard but when someone starts joking around just try to laugh about it. Find the humor in it and just think if they really meant it then they don't understand the intensity of it or they just don't care but all that matters is that they were joking. Good luck

Recognizing your problem is half the battle won. Your friends are probably aware that you take life too seriously, and they may tell you things purposely to upset you. Good friends should never do stuff like that, but some people have a warped sense of humor, and a strange idea of what a joke is. A joke is never funny when it's aimed at a particular person.
One way you can tell whether they're joking is by their facial expression, the look in their eye or with body language. If they can't look you straight in the eye while telling you something, or if they act nervous, shift around in their seat, play with their hair, fiddle with their rings, or if you detect a smirk on their face instead of an honest expression, then you know they probably aren't telling the truth. It will take a bit of practice, but eventually you'll be able to detect any insincerities. If you feel they are teasing at your expense, just laugh along with them.
Another thing you can do is make up stories of your own, and see how they react. Two can play that game, you know. And finally, try to find the humor in life. One way you can do that is to read some of the questions and answers on this site. I'll guarantee, you'll get some laughs. Chill out, as the kids say, and you'll find that life is much more fun when you do. Good luck, dear.

Take a few deep breaths & let whatever it is go. Enjoy the simple things in life. Some things just aren't worth getting that worked up about and in the long run you're only harming your body by stressing yourself out. You can always try a yoga class that does both the exercises and gives you the background behind yoga. You can try things like Music Therapy, Humor Therapy, or restructuring the way way you perceive things.

You are like that because you were raised like that, to change that pattern you need to learn how to break the rules first.
So start breaking some, you need to give permission to yourself for that, then break some of the rules along with a friend, nothing major, but then you will start seeing the world a little more lighter and change dramatic reactions for more logical practical ones.
Go ahead give it a try.

U are who you R.. First accept that and then just pay attention to what your reaction is about to be in the process. Think about it this way if you stress out so much, then your likely to miss out in a happier and more relaxed life. It's much easier to laugh along then to be the one upset all the time. Just ease into in slowly and it will gradually become a part of your life.
Your life could end tomorrow.......Be exactly who you want to be.

Here's a way to know when someone is serious or just joking. When something sounds true based on what you said to them based on fact, it's not joking and when someone says something totally fiction, it's a joke.
