Like 6 years ago I was sitting in a brand new lazy boy. It was continuously rocking back and forth. Of course i didn't like the chair because of this. I told my parents and they told me i was crazy. Then a couple of years later i was sitting in another chair and it started to happen again and i thought how weird this chair does it too. Well, a couple of weeks after that i was sitting on a big rock and i noticed that i was slightly rocking back and forth. The rock was firmly planted in the ground so i realized that it was me that was rocking back and forth. Tonight i have noticed twice that i have been doing it. It is a very slight rocking motion and i haven't noticed myself doing it in quite awhile. I smoke but i have no health problems like high blood pressure or anything. Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

Lot of people do that. It may be anxiety.

Do you eat a lot of sugar? If so, you could have hypoglycemia. It causes you to rock back and forth, sling feet and be absolutely jittery, without even knowing you are doing these things. Cut out all sugar and that means cokes, etc. It may take a couple of weeks to see if this behavior continues. It's worth a try.

Maybe while you were a kid instead of using a comforter sheet, or a pacifier you developed that motion. Now that you have grown you may tend to do that just like before. You need to find out what triggers you to start that, if it is too hard to find out, go to a therapist she may help you.

Your problem is nothing major. But if you really need to fis it, then pay more attention to what is going on in your life that makes you act like that without noticing it.
It may only be a bit of being hyper.

Could be anything from something traumatic in your past that you don't subconsciously realize is bothering you, stress, depression, being worried and I'm sure more things. If it really concerns you see medical attention.
