I am from California and am looking into moving to Sugar land. Has anybody made a move similiar to this? Or does anybody from the Houston area have an opinion?

We made *exactly* the same move. We used to live in Northern California, now we live near Sugar Land.

The humidity is tough, no doubt. But you get used to it. I do all my gardening (sometimes 2-3 hours straight in the 95F+ heat and high humidity). The months of June, July, August and September are the toughest. The other months are somewhat pleasant (not California pleasant, but pleasant enough).

Let me know if you have any more questions!

Sugar Land is great. Very good chance you will enjoy it.
1. location 2. great schools 3. low crime 4. convenient 5. good job opportunities

I think that far our weighs the humidity. Yes it's unbearable. We go north for summer vacations and spend a great deal of time outside during the spring and fall. You'll do great.

be blessed.

I travel alot. Im from Houston. The friendliest people are from Houston however, if you are not used to being uncomfortable or dont adapt well, I have bad news, Houston/Sugarland is not for you. Good Luck!

Only when you are outside. Most people dart from their car to the house and back to the car and to work or a mall that is indoors. On any given day it is raining on you or near you.

Other than that it is OK.
