The answer really is dependant on whether you will actually need the bandwidth regularly for data intensive use such as video streaming or game playing etc.
If you don't use this bandwidth then it's wasted money.
Also watch for tricks and traps with these 'fantastic sounding offers' - the speed may be better, but if the service is capped with a download data limit then this might be worse than your current deal

There is NO end to the bandwidth hunger. Think consciously if you actually need 8 or 16 megs? If you just browse the net and occasionally download some content off the web then I guess you would be happy with what you have.
So, unless you are hosting a server or are using a p2p program to do heavy downloads and uploads. I don't think you would need that.
Moreover why spend money for something that you don't need. I may sound cool that you have 16 megs but I believe the coolness factor dies down in couple of days and you are loosing money ;-)
Take your pick.

NO.
It depends wether you are sharing it with other users.
Sometimes they allow upto 50 people per line.
Some times the max is not always what you get. Some limit the amount of bandwith depending on what you do. They can slow down the speed if you watch lots of video and down load a lot.
The disguise it in the small print under the term fair usage. i.e if you use it more than the average user they will restrict it.
The best bet is to ask them if you where to download a 10meg file how long would it take an average user?
That's why it will say 16mb MAX!
Call sales and ask them!!!!!!

It depends what you want to do. If you regularly download massive files - i.e. films and a lot of music, or run 2 pc's at once then more might be better. But for ordinary surfing my first question would be 'how much more does it cost'.
