Hot Wheels Race Aces Speed Shift Raceway by Mattel Price: $89.77 In Stock. Customer Reviews 5.0 out of 5 stars shifter racetrack, December 23, 2008 By Amy E. Zeiders "zeid" (pa) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME) Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars my kids absolutely love this. i will admit the track is very sensitive and has to be placed exactly flat and you have to use their cars, but as far as fun, my 2 boys --ages 3.5 and 1.5 absolutely love it. They have played with it nonstop since getting it over the weekend. We taught our oldest how to do it and he can make the car go around several times and makes his younger brother laugh. 4.0 out of 5 stars Don't pay that price!, November 5, 2009 By Grace "LiveLoveLaugh&Read" (Charlotte) - See all my reviews Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars OK $89 is way too steep for this when Target has this SAME item for $32. Pls compare prices before you pay this inflated price. 5.0 out of 5 stars Finally! A fun track with no batteries! Go Green!, September 30, 2009 By Eric The Red "eric_rd" (Pittsburgh) - See all my reviews Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) pros: Game relies on plentiful renewable energy: kid power We did not need 4C batteries to play (no need to buy, no need to throw away!). Lots of fun. I entertained my 3 year old niece for almost an hour with this. She loved it. My 2 year old nephew, although more easily distracted, was able to enjoy it as well. Adults and older kids (like my father in law and myself) will keep a close eye on the lap counter to see who really won. Easy to assemble: My 6 year old nephew looked at the box and figured out how to put it together Kids of all ages intuitively know how to play. Hint: keep both the instructions and the box so you can put it back together in the future. Cons: Younger kids, maybe under 5, will likely need an adult to put it together. Requires some space to play, so if toys need to disappear after use, then that's extra work for you.
