I've read that they turn up at your home and try to put the fear of God into you for daring to exercise your democratic rights.

Is that the much-celebrated freedom of speech we hear so much about?

HA! Then the FBI will have to recruit more people to cover that much ground! I would have been jailed long ago and so would most stand up comedians.

Well, legally no, they can't. It's called freedom of speech.

However, if you make public *physical* threats towards the president, yes they can, if it is reported & get to the right ears.

I would have the entire FBI at my doorstep if that were true...I have never supported him & never will, & have never been shy about my opinions. But, I have no interest in physical harm for anyone, & my background is good, so even if they wanted to look...& I do have an FBI file because I was fingerprinted for a security job, they would find nothing but a big mouth!

you have got it wrong it isnt the FBI it is the IBF - International Bush Federation, a bunch of yanks that believe he is actually president of a country and not a muppet whose strings are being pulled by the rich buisnessmen who only see profit margins not polotics of human rights. I am starting the BFI in retaliation Bush Failed an IQ I know it dosnt quite work but open to suggestions

Not if you criticize him but if you make threatening overtures or say things like he should be killed or you want to kill him. If the F.B.I. visited every citizen who disagreed with the reigning president it wouldn't have time to do anything else. We might not agree with everything a president does but we seem to forget there are two other bodies of legislature that help him in those decisions. A president is like a head coach there are other coaches and management plus the players but when the team loses its the coach who takes all the blame.......

That is stupid, the only thing the FBI can visit you for saying about the president is if in some way you make a remark about killing him or trying to harm. Otherwise we can call him a dumb-gay-***-fucker.

Yeah, Michael Moore was thrown into prison, and all the democrats except for Lieberman were exiled. Not to mention Daily Kos and Moveon.org have been shut down. Damn this dictatorship!

If people start thinking that way, it only reflects one major thing: The biggest democracy in the world became a police state, people are afraid to talk, to express themselves and the dictator use his police to scare people, shut them up! What a shame, I used to love this democracy!!

I heard that some guy paraphrased the bible phrase about "a burning Bush", and went to jail for it. It was around the time of the invasion of Iraq.

I hate Bush and they havent knocked on my door yet. I think you'll end up with a visit from them if you threaten his life or something like that, not for calling him an idiot.
