ive been diagnosed with a small inguinal hernia, i am a hockey player and i was given the okay by the surgeron to go ahead and play this season and delay surgery till march or april. does anyone know anything about the hernia support belt or support shorts, and would you recomend them

In your case being so active it certainly wouldn't hurt, they tend to help hold the hernia more in place with the hopes of making it worse. I work for a surgeon, he does not normally recommend them but if the patient is very active and wants to hold off on the surgery he will.

Try DocOrtho.com, I have only seen them on line. You may want to check your local drug store. Pharmacist should be able to refer you to someone.
