I really dread the anniversary date. Still to this day when I think about the tragic events that occurred on 9/11/2001 I cry. All of those people, all of that devistation. People are still suffering because of that day. The families, the rescue workers, the Ironworkers... all of them. It makes me really angry.
I'm not the type of person that enjoys conflict or fighting. I don't take personal issue with Muslim's. I take issue with terrorists. As far as I'm concerned 9/11 should be a wake up call to every country that terrorism cannot be tolerated and if that means the USA needs to be the "bad guy" and police the world then I'm okay with that.
My brother was in Iraq for 1.5 years and came home safely (thank goodness). His time there showed him the horrors that terrorism causes when allowed to run unchecked. (I'm sorry a government that terrorizes it's people is no better than a group of terrorists acting for their own benefit.) He's willing to go back if need be. We all should be willing and understanding that doing the right thing means sacrifice.
And lets be real people... of course there are a number of reasons for the US actions in Afganistan and Iraq. Of course the government isn't just trying to create peace. They want cheaper oil, good relations, etc. Governments ALWAYS have lots of reasons for acting. ANY government, not just the US.

I am sad for New York and the families. But also confused on why they insist on replaying everything.
Its like taking a tramatized person from a car accident...forcing him back into the car and then speeding 200 miles down the freeway and crashing him into a wall on purpose.
I think its cruel for the media and this world to insist on these families to relive it all the time. Its on the news everywhere. If those involved wanted to relive it..they will do so on their own when they are ready..when their families are ready....but you know what....
Elvis is Dead Man..Leave it alone and lets live our lives better and to the fullest than before 9-11. Thats the best tribute we can give.

I couldn't believe it when I first heard it; I thought it had to be a joke. I have a hard time watching the videos of what happened, even though I don't even know anyone who knew anyone who died. It depresses me to know the buildings I took a picture of during a school trip in fifth grade no longer exist and worse, that my children, when I have them, won't ever get the chance to see them. How could they have made a movie of what happened?! It hasn't even been ten years! I for one refuse to watch it for at least another five. It's still too raw for me.

i had a dream out the attacks on the day of it.
you see i had my TV programmed to wake me up instead of an alarm clock.
i TV came on while i was sleeping. it had interfered with my dream that i was having. in my dream i could see a building with smoke coming out of it.
i then woke up to the image of the second airplane crashing into the towers.
Before this dream, and the images, i had never seen or really knew anything about the World Trade Center buildings.
since then the images and my dream have be popping up in my mind every now and then

Shock at first, anger second then incredible saddness for all the victims and their families and friends and finally fear. Not fear of more terror attacks but fear of what people would do to other innocent peoples while lashing out in their fear and anger and fear of what our government would do and use the attack as an excuse for doing. I will never be fearful of terror attacks, one simply cannot go through life afraid of things they have no control over or if they do what kind of life is that?

Shame for such evil can be held in a human being. Scared for what was yet to come, everything we believe in crumbled down with the WTC towers

i was frightened when i first heard about it. then i felt sadness, espec. for all the survivors. i also felt anger that they would kill in the name of religion. a religion that advocates killing non-believers is one that's def man-made to justify & give an excuse for murder.
